StudentOS AI
Refund & Cancellation Policy
How to cancel, what happens when you do, and when you get money back.

Current status
StudentOS AI is free today. No payment method is collected and nothing is charged, so there is currently nothing to refund or cancel — deleting your account is all it takes to stop using the Service.
This policy is published in advance so the terms are known before any paid plan launches. It takes effect for a subscription only from the moment you purchase one, and we will not begin charging an existing account without clear advance notice and your explicit agreement.
1. Cancelling a subscription
- You can cancel at any time from your account settings, or by emailing [TODO: [email protected]].
- Cancellation stops the next renewal. It does not end your current period — you keep full access until the period you have already paid for runs out.
- You are not charged again after cancelling. If you are, tell us and we will refund it.
- Cancelling does not delete your account or your data. To do that, delete the account itself; see the Privacy Policy.
2. Refund window
We offer a 14-day refund on a first paid subscription. If the Service is not what you expected, email [TODO: [email protected]] within 14 days of the first charge and we will refund it in full, no explanation required.
After the first 14 days, subscription fees are generally non-refundable for the period already started, and cancelling simply stops the next renewal. Section 4 lists the cases where we refund anyway.
3. Annual plans
Annual plans carry the same 14-day window from the date of the charge. After that, if you cancel mid-term we do not automatically refund the unused months, but you keep access for the rest of the year you paid for. If your circumstances have changed — you graduated, left your programme, or no longer need the Service — write to us; we would rather sort it out than hold money from a student who has stopped using the product.
4. When we refund regardless of the window
- You were charged after cancelling, or charged twice for the same period.
- A prolonged outage or a material loss of functionality in a period you paid for — we refund on a pro-rata basis.
- A charge you did not authorise. Contact us first; we resolve these faster than a bank chargeback.
- A billing error on our side, including a price applied that was not the one shown at checkout.
- Where consumer law in your jurisdiction requires it — those rights override anything in this policy that would give you less.
5. What is not refundable
- Periods already used beyond the 14-day window, absent one of the reasons in section 4.
- Accounts terminated by us for a material breach of the Terms, such as abuse or attempted circumvention of security.
- Dissatisfaction with an academic outcome. StudentOS AI does not promise a grade and cannot be responsible for one — see the Disclaimer.
6. How refunds are issued
Refunds go back to the original payment method. We process them within 5 business days of approving the request; how long it then takes to appear depends on your bank or card issuer, typically another 5 to 10 business days. We do not issue cash or transfers to a different account.
7. Price changes
We will give at least 30 days’ notice by email before any price increase affecting your plan. The new price applies from your next renewal, never mid-period, and you can cancel before it takes effect.
8. Contact
