StudentOS AI
Disclaimer
StudentOS AI calculates from what you give it. This page sets out plainly what those calculations are, and what they are not.

1. Not an official academic record
Your institution is always authoritative. StudentOS AI is not.
Grades and projections here are computed from information you entered yourself and from grading rules read out of a syllabus. They are not issued by your school, are not a transcript, and may differ from your official standing. Check your registrar, your learning-management system and your instructor before relying on any number for a decision that matters.
2. Accuracy depends on what you put in
- Syllabus parsing is a draft, not a fact. Extraction from a PDF or DOCX is performed by an AI model and can misread a weight, a date or a category. That is why we ask you to review and confirm before a course is built — please actually read it.
- Projections assume the rules we were given. Curves, drop-lowest policies applied differently in practice, extra credit, attendance adjustments and instructor discretion can all move a real grade away from the projection.
- Nothing updates itself from your school. We have no connection to your institution’s systems. If you do not enter a score, it is not counted.
3. No guarantee of any academic outcome
StudentOS AI does not promise, predict or guarantee any grade, GPA, credit, standing, scholarship, graduation or admission outcome. The product is deliberately designed not to make such promises: it states what a target mathematically requires from the work that remains and whether that target is still reachable. That is arithmetic about your inputs, not a forecast of your result.
Terms such as “projected”, “on track”, “at risk” and “academic score” are internal indicators computed from your own data. They carry no external meaning and no institution recognises them.
4. AI output can be wrong
The coach, the tutor and the quiz generator use third-party AI models. They can be confidently incorrect, can misstate a fact about your course, and can give different answers to the same question on different occasions.
- The tutor is grounded in the topics and materials attached to a course and is instructed to say when a question falls outside what it was given. It can still get things wrong within that scope.
- Generated practice questions and explanations are study aids. They are not drawn from your instructor’s actual exam and are no indication of what will be assessed.
- Verify anything that matters against your course materials.
5. Academic integrity is your responsibility
Your institution’s academic-integrity rules govern what help you are permitted to use. Rules differ by school, by course and by assessment.
Submitting AI-generated text as your own work, or using StudentOS AI during an exam or assignment where outside assistance is not allowed, may be misconduct. Deciding what is permitted is your responsibility, and we accept none for the consequences of a breach.
6. Not professional advice
StudentOS AI does not provide academic advising, career guidance, financial advice, legal advice, or medical or mental-health advice. Nothing it produces replaces a conversation with your academic advisor, your financial aid office, or a qualified professional.
Study-load and workload indicators are calculated from dates and estimates. They are not an assessment of your wellbeing. If you are struggling, please contact your institution’s student support or counselling service.
7. Third-party content and links
Course material you upload remains the work of its author. Links to external resources are provided for convenience, and we do not endorse or take responsibility for their content.
8. Limitation of liability
Your use of StudentOS AI is at your own risk. Our liability is limited as set out in section 12 of the Terms of Service, which you should read alongside this page.
9. Questions
If something in the app is unclear or looks wrong, tell us at [TODO: [email protected]]. A number that cannot be explained is a bug we want to know about.
